(Swedish) Institute for Futures Studies

The Institute for Future Studies is an independent public research foundation. The basic funding of the Institute comes from the state budget but we also receive external grants from public and private financiers.

The Institute’s mission is to pursue futures studies, long-term analyses and related activities on its own or in collaboration with others. The purpose is to encourage an open, broad-based public debate both on future threats and opportunities.
